Happy Tuesday!! I’m currently on week 4 of my 16 week training for a half-marathon and things are coming along great! Yesterday was gym day for strengthening and stretching (my arms, legs and abs are killing me) which means it was a killer workout! I must say, wanting to get off my big booty to go work out was the last thing on my mind a year ago! Now all I think about is running (currently thinking about my 3.5m run today when I get off work). I’m running 15+ miles a week and am slowly training for the big reward: The MARATHON! :) The marathon is going to be amazing but scary at the same time. Don’t quite know which marathon I will be running yet, but it will be towards the end of this year! This Sunday, there is a 4 mile run I will be a part of. It is located at Old Tucson Studios (where many old Western movies were filmed)! They also turn it in to a spooky town called Nightfall every Halloween. This run will be fun and exciting (really hoping to get a medal for my age group)! Unless I sign up for more 5 and 10k’s that should be my last race until March 24th! I will be doing my first 20k race! It is .6m less than a half marathon, but I still consider it my first almost half :) I’m so excited! The race is held in Phoenix, so I will be driving up the night before to get all the rest I can in some cheap hotel. After my run, I’m going out to party in downtown Phoenix once I take an ice bath and power nap of course :)
In order to meet a personal goal: you can’t make excuses :)
I was once very unhappy and lazy (working out was the last thing to cross my mind). Now, I’m as happy as can be because of working out, yes I want to lose weight and won’t stop until I lose everything I want too(even then I will not stop)! The feeling of working out and becoming a healthier person is the greatest feeling in life.
Now it’s time to stand at the front desk all day! Currently waiting to get off work (6 and 1/2 more hours) so I can run and enjoy the rest of my evening!!!
